Ah, sleep: it’s more than a dream. Both T and GH are produced just before REM sleep. During this deep stage of sleep, GH secretion surges and T production rises. Both good.

But the less you sleep, the lower your testosterone levels. Too little sleep also increases levels of leptin and decreases levels of ghrelin, both of which will make you hungrier during the day. Fragmented sleep can disrupt your progress, so setting the stage for a solid night of sleep is key.
